Melts based on alkali- and alkaline-earth halides

3 Melts based on alkali- and alkaline-earth halides [Pg.175]

Some papers have been devoted to studies of the behaviour of the membrane oxygen electrode with inner electrodes (i.e. placed into solid electrolyte test-tubes) AglAg+, NilNiO and Pt(02). [Pg.175]

Castrillejo et al., reported the investigation of the reversibility of the AglAgCl,Na2C03lYSZ membrane electrode in an equimolar molten CaCl2-KC1 mixture at 575 °C [178]. This electrode was shown to be sufficiently reversible to oxide ions, and the E-pO slope-value was close to IA5RT/F (0.084 V). Calibration under C02 pressure (1 atm.) allowed the value of the dissociation constant of CO2- (2.3) to be estimated as 10-1 4. [Pg.175]

Parameters of the E pO calibration plots (4.12) for the cells with Pt(02)lYSZ membrane oxygen electrode in melts based on alkali and alkaline earth metal chlorides at 700 °C [Pg.175]
