Mechanical structuring processes

However, the major disadvantage of such mechanical structuring processes is that they do not lend themselves for mass production. [Pg.115]

Process interpretation for proper mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, instrument, etc., handling of the respective individual phases of the project. [Pg.3]

Comparison of mechanical and processing properties with morphology shows that the formation of a network structure is the desired morphology for high impact strength, low viscosity and low shrinkage as indicated in Figure 6 for the impact behavior.12... [Pg.296]

Despite the undeniable synthetic value of the benzannulation reaction of aryl and alkenyl Fischer carbene complexes, the details of its mechanism at the molecular level remain to be ascertained. Indeed, although a relatively large number of theoretical studies have been directed to the study of the molecular and electronic structure of Fischer carbene complexes [22], few studies have been devoted to the analysis of the reaction mechanisms of processes involving this kind of complexes [23-30]. The aim of this work is to present a summary of our theoretical research on the reaction mechanism of the Dotz reaction between ethyne and vinyl-substituted hydroxycarbene species to yield p-hydroxyphenol. [Pg.271]

Biodegradable plastics have been used on an industrial scale since the end of the 1990s when BASF launched Ecoflex . This is a fossil-based, man-made polyester but yet is completely biodegradable due to its chemical structure. This structure is also the reason why Ecoflex combines excellent mechanical properties with the good processability of synthetic thermoplastics. Ecoflex is the preferred blend partner for bio-based and biodegradable polymers, which typically do not exhibit good mechanics and processability for film applications by themselves. Ecoflex therefore is a synthetic polymer that enables the extensive use of renewable raw materials (e.g., starch). [Pg.93]
