Maytenus macrocarpa

From the stem bark exudates of Maytenus macrocarpa, nine dammarane triterpenes were isolated by Chavez et al. [54]. 

Maytenus macrocarpa is another plant widely used in folk medicine [99]. Following the search for novel plant-derived cytotoxic agents in Maytenus spp. plants, its cytotoxic constituents were investigated by Chavez et al [100] afforded the compounds macroearpins A (100), B (101), C (102) and D (103), that were not previously discussed, Fig. (56).
