Mannich bases description

As we have outlined in the previous chapters, Mannich bases not only are important in research, usually aimed at improving our knowledge of the chemistry of this type of compounds, but they also have considerable practical use over a wide range of other fields. In this connection, a description of the relationships linking chemical structure with the behavior of Mannich bases and their derivatives may conveniently indicate the main features that make these compounds useful for practical purposes.
