Manganese complexes sulfur containing

A high-spin manganese(II) complex of the sulfur containing, potentially pentadentate Schiff base derivative (218) has been reported. [Pg.90]

Thallium occurs in crooksite, lorandite, and hutchinsonite. It is also present in pyrites and is recovered from the roasting of this ore in connection with the production of sulfuric acid. It is also obtained from the smelting of lead and zinc ores. Extraction is somewhat complex and depends on the source of the thallium. Manganese nodules, found on the ocean floor, contain thallium. [Pg.144]

In the case of a mixture of hydrofluoric and sulfuric acids, the process is more complex. It can be noted that sulfuric acid most probably interacts mainly with iron and manganese, whereas hydrofluoric acid serves mostly in the dissolution of tantalum and niobium and their conversion into soluble fluoride complexes. Nevertheless, due to the high acidity of the solution, here too the formation of hexafluorotantalate and hexafluoroniobate complex ions, TaF6" and NbF6, is expected. Hence, it is noted that the acid dissolution of tantalum-and niobium-containing raw material leads to the formation of hexafluoro-acids — HTaF6 and HNbF6. [Pg.262]

Abstract This chapter discusses the electronic absorption spectra and electrochemistry of phthalocyanine complexes which are redshifted to 730nm and beyond. These are mainly manganese phthalocyanine derivatives and phthalocya-nines containing sulfur substituents. The chapter concentrates mainly on the work done during the last 10 years. There are 96 references quoted and three detailed tables on the electronic absorption spectra, redox potentials, and analytes that are electrocatalyzed using manganese and titanium phthalocyanine complexes. [Pg.45]
