Magnetic Transition of Metals and Alloys

A specimen of mass 40 mg is placed in a sample holder of a thermogravimeter. The shape of the specimen is diameter 0 = 5.8 mm and d = 0.2 mm. A constant flow of argon is passed through the furnace to prevent the oxidation of the specimen. 

A permanent magnet is placed around the sample holder. 

The thermogravimetric curve is measured with a heating rate of 20 Km and the Curie point of the specimen is defined as the onset point on the curve.
