Macular neuroretinopathy

Acute macular neuroretinopathy, a condition of uncertain cause and variable prognosis, occurs mostly in young women. Viral, autoimmune, and ischemic causes have been proposed, and the last might be the mechanism in the cases that have been ascribed to adrenaline. No treatment is available.
