Lube oil separation

Matrimid-5218-based OSN membranes were developed for lube oil separation (White et al., 1993) and were able to achieve 96% lube oil rejection and 12.9L/m /h solvent flux for a blend of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and toluene at 4.1 MPa and 263 K. These are the first OSN membranes employed in a commercial plant installation at Mobil s Beaumont, Texas, refinery. [Pg.453]
