Little Chariot

The Little Bear or Little Chariot is the laborer s Plough or Phoenix, which is reborn from ashes. 

Bob washes his faces and hands and returns to the chariot. This solar equilibrium almost seems to be a miracle. If gravity were much stronger or much weaker, this balance between gravitational force and the outward pressure of gas would be disturbed. For example, if the gravity was off by just a little bit, nature would tend to produce more extreme stars—hot blue giants or cool, dim red dwarfs— neither of which seem very conducive to the evolution of life. 2... 

As the ants guide the chariot through the cemetery, the tombstones become more modern-looking. There is more order here. Bob imagines the tombstones are little molecules that suddenly crystallize in a supersaturated solution. After a few minutes, Bob notices fresh flowers placed on some of the newer headstones. It is as if Bob and his friends are riding forward in time.
