Lithium rutile structure

Murphy, D.W. Disalvo, F.J. Carides, J.N. Waszczak, J.V. Topochemical reactions of rutile related structures with lithium. Mater. Res. Bull. 1978, 13, 1395. [Pg.1481]

Rutile Ti02 when synthesized in the shape of nanorods, with the a-b plane parallel to the cross-section of the nanorod, the previously irreversible structural change associated with lithium intercalation can be avoided. This is due to the main expansion occurring along the smallest dimension of the particle. [Pg.535]

Titanium oxides include Ti02 and its composite oxides with lithium. In the case of the former, several structures are known, such as rutile, anatase, hollandite, and brookite (B-type). The composite oxides are mainly anatase Lio5Ti02, spinel LiTi204, orthorhombic phase Li2Ti307, and spinel Li4Ti50i2... [Pg.226]
