Lithium dithionate

Lithium dithionate, Li2S206.—The dithionate is obtained as trihydrate from the corresponding barium salt and lithium sulphate. It forms deliquescent crystals of density 2-158.

A similar observation concerns bis(trimethylsilyl)amino isothiocyanate (132), which is obtainable from lithium tris(trimethylsilyl)hydrazide (131) as shown. It is a labile compound which changes slowly at room temperature to two products (75% after 10 days), one of which has been tentatively represented as 2,4-bis(trimethylsilyl)amino-1,2,4-thiadiazolidine-3,5-dithione (134).107... 

The lithium dianion of cyclic thiourea (72) when reacted with alkyl isothiocyanates led to the formation of 7,8-dihydro-l,3-dimethyl-6/f-pyrimido[l,2-a][l,3,5]triazine-2,4(lff,3ff)dithiones (73) and 3,4-dimethyl-l,6-propano-l/f,6/f-3a-thia(S )-l,3,4,6-tetraazapentalene-2,5(3/r,4jH)-dithione (74) (Scheme 5) <86BCJ3693>.
