Liquid water decaying terms

Long-term stability is better than for liquid drinks and powder drinks are ideal for vitamin fortification because of their slow decay rate in the absence of water and without ingress of air. 

In eq. (2), U(t) is the measured decay signal, fs refers to the proton fraction of the solid component, fi to the proton fraction of the liquid component and T2,i and T2,2 are the corresponding relaxation times. The term solid refers to molecules of limited mobility such as the biomass C-H protons while the liquid component refers to the more mobile protons from water and mobile sugar molecules.
