Liquid-solid segregation testing

When we take a test sample from the laboratory sample, again we want the test sample to be representative of the whole of the laboratory sample. Components of different densities or different particle sizes in liquid or solid samples become segregated in storage. Usually we need to mix the laboratory sample thoroughly, to ensure that it is homogeneous, each time we take a test sample from it. [Pg.40]
