Life Expectancy and Body Weight of Mammals

Allometry is the science that describes the relationships of properties of living organisms. Usually, allometric laws are expressed as power laws. We will derive some power laws using dimensional analysis. 

If there is a constant energy production E during lifetime ti, we may convert this into 

Organism Life expectancy [years] Body weight [kg] 

Now the energy production must be proportional to the surface of the animal, which is in turn proportional to the power of 2/3 to the body weight nr.
