LiF dosimeter

The reported irradiation energy independence of the LiF dosimeter (1) permits its use as a secondary standard when calibrated against 60Co y-rays in measuring the parameters required for a hydrated electron dosimeter. 

The optical-quality LiF dosimeter can be reused repeatedly if the darkened crystals are bleached to the colorless state by a high-temperature aimealing treatment (550°C for 1 h).
