The new Lear Fan aircraft is the first to be made with a very high proportion (about 80%) of the structural weight in carbon fibre reinforced plastics. This ambitious project uses adhesive bonding for joining the composite components and panels together as well as for attaching pre-formed stringers and stiffeners. [Pg.273]
