Lanthanide complexes with macrocyclic ligands such as those based on 1,4,7,10-tetraazacy-clododecane or polyaminocarboxylates have been studied extensively by CPL spectroscopy. Complexes of alcohols like methanol, ethanol, 2-propanol and n-butanol (116-122), and ethers like Diox (47,120,123-125) and THF (126-128) have been prepared.
