In our recent research, we hope to achieve a molecular level definition of the sites of electroactivity. To this end, we relied on monomolecular Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films designed to carry out two functions passivation and gating (d). The basic elements of the overall scheme involved in this project are presented schematically below.
