2-Lactobionamidoethyl methacrylate LAMA

Narain and co-workers [9] developed another versatile method to synthesise well-defined and site-specific protein-glycopolymer bioconjugates. First, a biotinylated polyethylene glycol (biotin-PEG) ATRP initiator was synthesised and subsequently used for the ATRP homopolymerisation of lactobionamidoethyl methacrylate (LAMA), providing excellent biotin-functionalised glycopolymers (Mn= 11-24 kDa PDI = 1.26-1.32). The polymerisation reaction was carried out in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone at 20 °C using CuBr/2,2 -bipyridine as a catalyst system (Figure 3.6). [Pg.82]
