Many years ago I read about a book by a nineteenth-century German mathematician, Felix Klein, called Ze-mentary Mathematics from an Advanced Standpoint. I never read it, but the title stuck in my mind. The present book could perhaps be subtitled Elementary Social Science from an Advanced Standpoint. 

Another mathematically amusing case involves the nonorientable surface S with X(S) = 0, this surface being the so-called Klein bottle (named after the renowned geometer Felix Klein, who devised the surface ). The condition x(5) = 0 admits benzenoid embeddings, and one can imagine the associated graphs made much as for the torus—for the Klein bottle the top and bottom sides of the strip arejoined as before... 

Named after the Norwegian mathematician Niels Henrik Abel (1802-1829). This group is isomorphic to Felix Klein s four-group (yierergruppe).
