Preparation of hydroxyl ester (2/ ,4S,6S)-30, which was converted to supellapyrone. 

Preparation of (3Z,11/ )-3-dodecen-11-olide (33), the pheromone of the rusty grain beetle. 

Preparation of (S)-6-methyl-2-heptyn-4-ol (35), which was converted to rhynchophorol (the pheromone of the American palm weevil).
