Kidamycin "aglycone

A key step in the synthesis of the aglycone structures of the altromycins and kidamycin involves activation of the acid 750 with l-chloro-iV,iV-2-trimethyl-l-propenylamine, which results in spontaneous cyclization to form the corresponding chromone in high yield (Equation 302) <20050L3617>.
