The hydrido-transition metal cluster complexes. A. P. Humphries and H. D. Kaesz, Prog. Inorg. Chem, 1979, 25,145-222 (244). [Pg.32]

Kaesz et al. have shown that simple, primary amines (e.g. MeNH2) will react with Ru3(CO)12 to form p-acetamido ligands at temperatures as low as -15°C. We find that simple primary, secondary and tertiary alkyl amines will react with Ru3(CO) 2 at temperatures of 70-150°C to undergo catalytic deuterium for hydrogen exchange reactions on the hydrocarbon groups and transalkylation (52). We have found that a... [Pg.134]

The spectra of all metal alkyls studied by Kaesz and Stone (46) show a band at about 2750 cm-1 assignable to an overtone of the symmetric methyl deformation vibration at about 1375 cm-1. If we assign the band at 2812 cm-1 to this overtone, the symmetric methyl deformation frequency would occur at about 1406 cm-1, i.e., near the broad band centered at 1415 cm-1. If we accept this assignment and take account of the fact that... [Pg.27]

These data were taken from Kaesz and Stone (46). Above 2800 cm-1 we accepted their assignment below 2800 cm-1 we used the more explicit assignments of Green 47). Only those bands were listed above 1300 cm-1 that were listed as m or stronger. [Pg.28]
