Systems for the preparation of Job Descriptions vary from company to company but they all share common core features. These essential core features, described below, are the ones which will also be used as the basis for each step on the way to making a final job offer to the candidate. [Pg.23]

If the job is entirely new then a Job Evaluation needs to be carried out so that, if required, a specific salary range can be given in the advertisement, and as a basis for the subsequent offer to, or in the negotiation of a package with the successful candidate. [Pg.23]
