Isomaltose oligosaccharides

Theoretical aspects of affinity electrophoresis have been discussed and the applicability of the technique for determination of dissociation constants of protein-ligand complexes demonstrated. The pH dependence of lectin interactions with sugars has been determined by affinity electrophoresis. Association constants of dextrans and isomaltose oligosaccharides for myeloma anti-dextran have been determined using the technique. [Pg.590]

Using a method applicable to other biological systems, the binding constants of dextrans and isomaltose oligosaccharides to dextran-specific myeloma proteins have been determined by affinity electrophoresis. The retardation of electrophoretic mobility of myeloma proteins on addition of dextran to the separating gel may be reversed on addition of suitable oligosaccharides to the gel. [Pg.548]

Fourteen DFAs and some oligomers were identified in caramel obtained by thermal treatment of inufin. - Monosaccharides (glucose, fructose), dehydration products (1,6-anhydro-p-D-glucopyranose, 1,6-anhydro-p-D-glucofuranose), disaccharides (gentiobiose and isomaltose), and oligosaccharides were also found in glucose and sucrose caramel. ... [Pg.338]

A product manufactured in Japan as Alo mixture (Anomalously Linked Oligosaccharides) contains mainly a range of IMOS (glucose, isomaltose, and panose as principal constituents). It is produced from starch as substrate by the action of alpha-amylase, beta-amylase, and a transglucosidase. It is claimed to have favorable properties for application in the food industry.143... [Pg.126]

The approximate proportions of these sugars in the oligosaccharide fraction (3.65%) of the honey were maltose, 29.4 kojibiose, 8.2 turanose, 4.7 isomaltose, 4.4 sucrose, 3.9 ketose band (mixture... [Pg.297]

Oligo-( 1— 6)-D-glucosidase isomaltase, dextrin 6-a-D-glucanohydrolase hydrolysis of (1— -6)-a-D-glucosyl links in isomaltose, panose, and gluco-oligosaccharides produced from starch by alpha amylase... [Pg.350]

A second protein having antidextran activity, J 558 (a,A.), precipitates well with dextrans containing high proportions of a-D-(l — 3)-linked D-glucopyranosyl residues.49 Confirmation of this specificity comes from the observation that oligosaccharides in the nigerose series are excellent inhibitors. Kojibiose and isomaltose are very... [Pg.338]
