Irregular rings

The tracheal microanatomy consists of supportive cartilage that is hyaline in nature [35] and present in the form of irregular rings (15—20 in humans). This rings are dorsaUy connected to smooth muscle and connective tissue fiber [36,37]. The epithelium of the trachea consists of basal, ciliated, and goblet cells and neuroendocrine cells [35,38].

Redesign irregular rings and bridged ring systems. 

The ring removal step is repeated for irregular rings. 

If only one ring is left, assign it CORE if it is regular or if there is license to redesign irregular rings. Then exit.

No details were given, but from the authors discussion it is clear that their program has some capability for backtracking and adjustment of the positions of previously placed groups to remove atom overlap. There is no mention of irregular ring systems. 

Initially, bicycles and irregular rings were drawn with in-software templates, an aesthetic improvement over Cox s construction point method. Since, however, this approach was inelegant and incomplete, for his postdoctoral studies the present author created a pilot version that used an RTD. But he found employment before this effort could be completed, and the result merged back into CAMEO. 

An irregular trough of metal loss is apparent along the circumference of the ring (Fig. 16.4). Metal loss is severe near the nozzle holes (Fig. 16.5). The corroded zone is covered with light and dark corrosion products and deposits. Analysis of these revealed substantial quantities of copper and zinc. Microscopic examinations revealed exfoliation of the aluminum ring in corroded regions. 

Being irregular in structure the polymer is amorphous and gives products of high clarity. In spite of the presence of the heterocyclic ring the deflection temperature under load is as low as that of the poly(butylene terephthalates) and is also slightly softer. Some typical properties are given in Table 25.9. 

Uneven pressures can be exerted on the drive shaft due to irregularities in the packing rings, resulting in irregular contact with the shaft. This causes uneven distribution of lubrication flow at certain locations, producing acute wear and packed-box leakages. The only effective solution to this problem is to replace the shaft sleeve or drive shaft at the earliest opportunity.
