The conclusions from the theoretical investigations reported above [ 180] were experimentally confirmed when iron tetrakis(2,6-difluorophenyl)porphyrin was assembled on imidazole-fnnctionalized carbon nanotubes (Im-CNTs) through coordination with the imidazole group (Scheme 14.10, [201]).
