Ionic and Polymeric O2F2 Species

Since O2F2 has not been observed in the O2F2 mass spectrum, the bond dissociation energy D(F-02F ) may be zero [1], see also [2]. 

Several features of the IR absorption spectrum around 1280 cm were assigned to the 0-0 stretching vibration of di- and polymeric species, see p. 95. Assuming v(O-O) of the monomer to be at 1500 cm the above assignment would be in accordance with the valence bond models for (02F2)2 [3]
