Interprotein interaction

The assumption of the association of Hb in the pores of carboxylic cation exchangers has been advanced in Ref. [47] on the basis of electron microscopy at the maximum filling, almost all the pore surface is filled with Hb associates which are ordered star-shaped structures. Interprotein interaction in the adsorption immobilization of enzymes have been reported in Refs. [74, 75]. [Pg.26]

The control of enzyme activity by the environment of a polyatomic framework is a vast topic, which I shall not attempt to cover fully in this report. Instead I will concentrate on some selected interactions between and within polypeptide chains that influence enzymatic activity. First, elementary steps involved in ligand-protein, intraprotein, and interprotein interactions are considered. Then enzymes consisting of a single polypeptide chain are discussed, followed by enzymes consisting of multiple polypeptide chains. The concluding sections are concerned with multienzyme complexes and enzymes associated with membranes. [Pg.178]

Below, we describe some examples demonstrating that the time-resolved measurement of D is a suitable way for detecting the change in the interprotein interaction. [Pg.154]

A comparison of physical methods for monitoring changes in protein structure and interprotein interactions involved in aggregation with respect to the protein requirements, impedence of measurement by common buffers, and the type of information obtainable about the protein in solution or precipitate... Before proceeding with the specifics of the P450-cyt b interaction, the properties of interprotein interactions in general will be presented to provide the framework for the discussion of the P450-cyt interaction and to help appreciate the P450-POR interaction discussed in the previorrs section of this chapter. In order for electron transfer to occur between proteins, they mrrst come into contact [142]. Complexes formed between... [Pg.48]
