Interhalogens metal carbonyls

The electronegativities of perfluoroalkyl groups are so large that the perfluoroalkyl halides may be regarded, to some extent, as pseudo-interhalogen compounds. Stone and co-workers have demonstrated this analogy in the reactions between RfX and metal carbonyls, e.g.
