The performance promised your customers or your sales division is rendered by your operative employees as part of their daily work within the actual performance process. These are value-added and overhead cost employees. 

We call all employees who contribute operatively to the performance process 

We describe in Chapter 11 how we guarantee the feasibility of the primary demand (customer orders and/or target figures), i.e. how we plan the performance to be rendered. 

With the complete harmonization of resources, the SCM with the help of the supply chain simulation ensures that the buyers can supply their purchased parts on schedule and that the process drivers will have sufficient capacity available on time for their work. 

The performance process on the performance Y of an enterprise that is harmonized and synchronized in this manner is characterized by the short and on time completion of the individual operations for customer orders or target figures with relatively short transition periods. Ideally, the order will be delivered to the downstream workplace exactly when this workplace is to continue work on the particular order.
