Installer helper

Sofh are applications can mainly be divided into stand-alone programs that have to be installed on a local computer, and web-based appUcation.s. Furthermore, there arc two different tcchniquc.s u.scd in web-based applications for providing the programs applets and plug-ins. Whereas plug-ins (helper applications) have to be installed to be displayed correctly in a browser, java applets are loaded by the browser on demand. The basic requirement for executing java applets is that the java Virtual Machine (jVM) must be pre-installed on the local computer, which is oltcn the case. 

The ROOT/code/helpers/preproc.pl Perl script uses an external library called bioperl, that is not included with the PhyME distribution. This library may be downloaded from http //bio.perl.org/, the user should install it at some location, say BIOPERLDIR, and add the line use lib BIOPERLDIR in preproc.pl. Alternatively, the user may use the program ROOT/code/helpers/preproc nobioperl.pl that does not use bioperl. 

The handling of geomembranes and building components on the constmction site, transport and proper installation has to be guaranteed by a sufficient number of in-stmcted helpers. The helpers are to be instmcted in their tasks referring to the characteristics of the individual constmction project. The extent of the instmction must be documented (participant, type of instmction, duration and date). 

GeneDesign requires a few additional Perl modules to run. Some may already be installed, depending on your Perl distribution. You can run the helper script genedesign mod install. pi as a privileged user to install these Perl modules for you (see Note 2). 

A nxrf bolting crew was installing roof bolts. A roof bcdt bole off the left rib was being drilled when the roof bolter helper, for some unknown reason, moved down the left rib and behind the bolter operator into an area of unsupported rotff. A pieoe of roof 6 feet long, 5 feet wide, and 6 to 8 indies thick fell. The roof bolter helper was transported to the hospital where he died the next day.
