We at Sandia have always had educational outreach programs. Until several years ago, these programs were relatively small. Then Admiral Watkins issued a Department of Energy (DOE) directive We must expand our involvement in science education to inspire the youth of America to either enter, or feel more comfortable in, the fields of math, science, and engineering. With our labs and facilities, we are uniquely well positioned to provide major assistance in strengthening science and engineering motivation and education, making it come alive for the main body of students who too often fear these disciplines or who cannot relate to them. I intend to lead this effort personally. (7)... 

There is much more left to be done in the area of catalytic RCM. It is likely that many elegant and creative uses of catalytic RCM are in the making. Judging by the related developments in recent years, it is also likely that catalytic RCM will influence positively the development of numerous other ongoing metal-catalyzed or uncatalyzed reactions. The advent and utility of complexes la, lb and 2 will undoubtedly inspire organic chemists to devise new and useful transformations, where these transition metal systems are effectively utilized (e.g., styrenyl ether rearrangements) [40]. 

VK Fischapark was a former factory with extensive grounds. For me, it n/as something on a special scale, an extreme dimension, and as such, it reminded me of Russia in a positive way. The expanse of the fields, the endless, lonesome landscape at that time, and, again, that boundless cultural space - all this is sorely needed for the kind of imagination and free inspiration that stimulates creative processes. 

An intrathoracic obstruction is more likely to allow gas flow during inspiration as the negative intrathoracic pressure generated helps to pull the airways open. As such, the inspiratory limb of the curve may be near normal. In contrast, the positive pressure generated during forced expiration serves only to exacerbate the obstruction, and as such the expiratory limb appears similar to that seen in obstructive disease. Both TLC and RV are generally unaffected. 

Numerical calculations inspired in the ZK method for stars have also been applied for the description of the dynamics of model dendrimers. La Ferla [232] used a freely-rotating model, including a topology-dependence stiffness parameter and preaveraged HI. With this model, he obtained a complex analytical expression for the mean size. Cai and Chen [233] used a Gaussian model without HI and performed a detailed analysis of the relaxation motions. They investigated the diffusion of the center of mass, the relaxation of the center of mass position relative to the core monomer, and also the rotational and internal modes.
