Figure 5 shows Kt as a function of r/D There is no evidence of a clear tendency neither in the experimental data nor in the simulation. This is due to the fact that as r/d increases the material flows smoothly around the insert located in the mold cavity. This prevents high shear stresses that could generate high residual stresses.
