Initial Activities in Polyurethane Recycling

There has been little past nationwide activity in the recycle of polyurethanes (PUR) or phenolics even though these resins are among the largest produced. These two resins compri.sed 9.5% by weight of the resins produced in the U.S. in 1989 (refer to Table 1.2 in Part I). An overview of some recent work is summarized here.
