Substitute Indulgences

Self-attack. When clients belittle themselves or put themselves down because of frustration or disappointment. This often occurs during a GVE or AVE. Stimulus control. A strategy to control or limit exposure to a trigger or cue. Substitute indulgences. Safe alternatives to drug use that reward the client for doing well in recovery. 

L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester (ell-ass-par-TEEL ell-fee-no-AL-uh-neen METH-el ESS-ter) is an artificial sweetener more widely known as aspartame. It is sold under a number of brand names, including NutraSweet , Equal , Spoonful , Benevia , Indulge , NatraTaste , and Equal-Measure . Unlike sugar, which is a carbohydrate, aspartame is a dipeptide, a compound made of two amino acids joined to each other. It is 180 to 200 times as sweet as sucrose (table sugar), but provides no calories to a person s diet. It is a satisfactory substitute for sugar, therefore, for people who must or wish to reduce their caloric intake. 

Thomson also criticised Berzelius s assumptions how the substitution of the word volume for atom simplifies the atomic theory. .. is beyond my comprehension , but Berzelius has deserved so well of chemistry, that he may be indulged in any innocent whim which produces no deterioration . 

This has been done in the first column of Table VI. Inthis tableknownir-allyl metal compounds are marked with an asterisk. Also included and marked with a dagger are some complexes, not known themselves but whose substituted 7r-allyl derivatives have been isolated. Using these examples, and in the light of the rare gas formalism and consideration of other known organometallic complexes, possible complexes of the first-row transition metals, which are not known but which might be expected to exist, are formulated. We have indulged in this speculation in order to show the various possible types and future scope of 7T-allyl metal complex chemistry.
