Indonesia clinical trials

Clinical trials can be conducted in Indonesia, but prior permission must be obtained from the Ministry of Health. 

Whether vitamin A supplementation reduces morbidity and mortality from all types of diarrheal disease or has more pathogen-specific effects is unclear. In Brazil, a community-based clinical trial showed that vitamin A supplementation reduced both the incidence and severity of diarrheal disease [32], but another trial in central Java, Indonesia, did not show an effect of vitamin A on incidence of diarrheal disease [33]. Three smaller, community-based trials suggest that vitamin A may reduce the incidence and/or duration of diarrheal disease [34-36].
