Tensometer indications illustrating the extension of the reference element constitute one coordinate of the dependence graphs of the indications and the size of stress, and the Wirotest indications constitute the second coordinate. [Pg.383]

Fig. 3. Hierarchy of the influenza HA trimer structure. Left. The underlying helices of HA2 that make up the core of the stalk, with the amino acid numbers at the termini of this fragment indicated. Center The entire HAg ribbon trace. Right Both HAi and HA2 (Wilson et al, 1981). Approximate locations of the amino (HAi-N) and carboxy (HAi-C) termini of HAi are indicated, illustrating how HAi extends the full length of the stalk. Fig. 3. The VR system allows the user to be any one of the participants within the scene, whether the shuttle car driver, the pedestrian, or a remote observer. As the user walks around the world or drives the shuttle car, a number of risk indicators illustrate the risk that the vehicle poses to the pedestrian. Some of the risk components are intuitively simple—if the shuttle car is closer to the pedestrian the proximity risk is higher if the shuttle car is heading away from the pedestrian, the risk is lower than if it is heading directly toward him. Finally, the faster the shuttle car, the greater the risk. [Pg.167]
