The 1950-51 annual report of the Indian Central Jute Committee (1 5) mentions the compilation of a 900-item bibliography covering jute science and technology since 1920. This committee published A Review of the Position Reached in Technological Research in Jute by C. R. Nodder in 1949 (240. Chaudhury s Jute and Substitutes, published in 1933, is a useful treatise (H2). The Textile Institute s handbook on jute, by H. L. Parsons, is already out of print (247). [Pg.177]
