INDEX refining operations

The effects of operating variables on the Duosol extraction system are complex and are best determined empirically. As would be expected, an increase in Selecto results in increased refinement and reduced yield. An increase in propane results in improved raffinate color and decreased viscosity index, but its effect on carbon residue is unpredictable. [Pg.193]

While the input query and search type are all that are necessary to perform a sfmcfure search in PubChem, there are numerous choices by which one may narrow the search to smaller subsets of PubChem. For example, one may search only within a previous Entrez search result, or even a previous stmcture search result, or upload a file of ClDs againsf which fhe search is fo be performed. One may filter based on a wide variety of properties, such as molecular weight, heavy atom count, presence or absence of stereochemistry, assay activity, elemental composition, depositor name or category, etc. Most of these subset operations could be accomplished through appropriate Entrez index queries followed by Boolean operations on structure search results however, the structure search tool provides a convenient one-step interface for chemical search refinement. [Pg.230]

The filters were designed for operation at 530 nm, and preliminary estimates for monolayer thickness I and refractive index Wq for both materials were obtained by ellipsometry, reflectometry and waveguiding techniques (Table 3.2). Reasonable agreement was obtained between these techniques, particularly for the polysiloxane. The thickness and refractive index data were then refined to give more accurate initial layer thickness f and refractive index values (Table 3.3) by taking account of the dispersion of the materials over the wavelenth range 400-800 nm (Fig, 3.12). [Pg.123]

The search strategy may be refined by combining it with the field Index Name Segment - Non-Heading Parent (INS.NHP). The application of the LINK operator (L) will process all the search terms in the same field CN. [Pg.147]
