INDEX housekeeping

The working status (working, housekeeper, unemployed, retired, student, working student) is related only with the perception of forest fires hazards. Students are less concerned than workers, housekeepers, and retired respondents. ANOVA t-tests between the variables gender , comfort index , age of the house and conservation state of the house produced no significant results.

Figure 18.2 shows an example of a chart where the development of the so-called housekeeping index is displayed. The observation items in this application of behavioural sampling were observable conditions at the workplaces related to housekeeping, i.e. items that represent results of behaviour rather than the actual behaviour itself. 

Example An aluminium plant has introduced a so-called housekeeping index. The plant is subdivided into housekeeping areas, and four times a year the safety engineer and the supervisor and safety representative from the area perform a safety inspection.
