Addition of 2-substituted-iV-phenylhydrazinecarbothioaniides 26a—d in dry pyridine to 3 gave, upon chromatographic separation of the residue, numerous zones. The 3-cyano-4-oxo-phenyl-indeno[l,2-c]pyrazole-l(4fi)-carbothioamides 89 (Scheme 27, 07JCR629) were isolated as one of the products.
