More complicated analyses, such as kymography, are possible using this model system with simple ImageJ plugins. Furthermore, the dynamics of intracellular components can be measured with the use of other fluorescent probes. These more complex measurements require further imaging optimization and an enhancement of the temporal resolution. We expect that even the most complex of migration analyses that are often reserved for in vitro models, such as Fluorescent Speckle Microscopy (13), will in the future be possible in these Drosophila inflammation and wound assays.

Open timelapse series in ImageJ. This may require an additional plugin from the ImageJ website, depending on the microscopy software used to acquire the timelapse series. 

Calculate colocalization between proteins using the Pearson coefficient Colocolization Finder plugin in ImageJ.
