Hydrophobicity and Toxicity hERG Blockage

Log D represents the hydrophobicity corrected for ionization while Dmax is the maximum diameter of the molecules. Further analysis of the compounds indicate that the most active compounds in terms of their hERG -blocking ability have Dmax 18A. 

A more recent analysis of 104 compounds tested in either CHO cells or human embryonic kidney (HEK) cells for inhibition of the hERG K channel was carried out by Yoshida and Niwa. They obtained the following QSAR
