Hunteria corymbosa

From Hunteria corymbosa Roxb., a crystalline alkaloid has been reported (33), but no physical constants were given. More recently, a reinvestigation has resulted in the obtention of corymine, mp 189°—192°, [a]D +27° (CHCI3), for which the constitution XLVIII has been proposed (34). [Pg.265]

From the seeds of Hunteria umbellata (K. Schum.) Hall. f. Garpo-dinus umbdlatus K. Schum. Polyadoa umbellata Stapf Picralima umbellata Stapf) there has been reported the isolation of corymine XXX [first discovered in Hunteria corymbosa Roxb. (35)], 0-acetyl corymine, and a new base isocorymine, C22H26X2O4 (mp 183°-115° [ajj, —243° 0-acetate, mp 166°) for which the structure XXXI was suggested (36). [Pg.136]
