How Does Your Body React

There are two types of chemical reactions local reactions or systemic reactions. Local reactions take place at the site of the exposure. For instance, there is usually an immediate reaction on the skin or in the eyes, or in the lungs if inhaled. 

Systemic reactions typically occur sometime after exposure, and may involve only certain bodily organs, known as target organs. With systemic reactions, you may not know you are being harmed until it is too late.
