This image develops the concept of orbital electronegativity (Hinze Jaflfe, 1962, 1963a-b Hinze et al., 1963 Hinze, 1968)  [Pg.182]

PRINCIPLE EN18 For an atom involved in bonds with the hybrid orbitals which compete on the chemical bond, is associated for the bonding electronegativity the set of orbital electronegativities, defined as follows  [Pg.182]

By using this physical image for an atom valence state, characterized for example by the wave function y/, can be rigorously determined the orbital electronegativity working in the space FockfV—electronic (see Section 3.2) [Pg.182]

There are considered the independent particles and the creation and annihilation operators associated as in Eqs. (3.4) and (3.5), defined on the vacuum states and uniparticle of the electronic space, whose completeness relation is given by Eq. (3.6), and where the operators satisfy the anticommutation relations  [Pg.182]

Under these conditions, the number of orbital occupancy in the state y/ is given by  [Pg.183]
