The value of reduction of area (R.A) was 60% as criteria for hot ductility in the literature [6]. Figure 1 displays the variation curve of hot ductility with different temperatures. The results showed that the high temperature brittle zone, high temperature plastic zone, low temperature brittle zone was in the range from Tl to 1300 C, 1300 925°C, 925 600°C, respectively. In the high temperature brittle zone, R.A is so poor that the steel would be easy to form cracks. With the temperature decreasing to 1300 C, R.A inereases to 90.29%. However, when the temperature blows 1000 C, R.A decreases sharply till to minimum value 11.77%. Furthermore, R.A increases with low amplitude in the temperature range fi-om 775°C to 700°C, then, decreases to 12.3%. [Pg.165]
