High frequency spark

In enamels for chemical plant such as autoclaves it is not only the degree of acid resistance which is important but also the freedom of the finish from minute flaws detectable by high frequency spark testing or chemical methods. The chemical methods depend upon a colour change when the reagent such as ammonium thiocyanate reacts with the iron exposed at the bottom of the pinhole or flaw in the finish. Alternatively, an electric cell can be formed via the exposed iron in the flaw and detected chemically. 

Crystalline AugOg cannot be obtained by dehydration of Au (OH) 3. Alternate methods a) By atomization of gold by means of a high-frequency spark in ozonized Og. The oxidation product contains about 40% AugOg, the rest being elemental Au (see Thiessen and Schiitza, as well as Schiitza and Schiitza, in references below). 

Barberi et al. have measured the energy of combustion of CIF5, ClFa, and CIF in hydrogen using a bomb ignited by a high-frequency spark at 25 °C and also using a two-compartment bomb operated at 130 °C. The results... 

The formation of NHJ during chemisorption of NH3 on dehydratyed Y-AI2O3 occurs only to a small extent and is attributed to the surface reaction + NH3 NH2+OH" most of NH3 acts as a donor to Al centers see [11] and the literature cited there.
