Hfe Versus Collector Current

Sweep variable has been changed to a Current source. 

Click the OK button to return to the schematic. Run the simulation. We would like to plot the current gain, Hfe. When we go to add a trace, we do not see Hfe listed. However, Hfe can be calculated as the ratio of IC/IB for the transistor. Thus, we will plot the trace IC (Ql) /IB (Ql)  

Note that the x-axis is the base current. This is a plot of Hfe versus IB. We need to change the x-axis to collector current. From the Probe menus, select Plot and then Axis Settings  

We must change the x-axis variable to collector current. Click the Axis Variable button  

Click the OK button to accept the trace and then click the OK button again to plot the trace with the new settings
